Radon Fan Replacement Cost
The cost in Racine County, Kenosha County and Walworth County can range from $200 to more than $600. These costs include the radon fan itself, materials associated with installation and the contractor labor charges. Once the radon fan has been replaced a new warranty will start. These warranties last for 5 years from the day of replacement.

RadonAway common replacement models consist of RadonAway RP145 which is used for moderate soil dirt and RadonAway model number RP265 being used for higher flow installations. The replacement will involve turning off the power, than loosening up the couplings, the new fan is than swapped out with the old unit. The contractor will then seal the new fan is in place. Your replacement radon fan has been designed to operate 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. The radon fans do not require much maintanance. little maintenance, A typical length of life would be 5-10 years. Another aspect of maintenance includes monitoring the manometer (U-tube gauge) to ensuevery month in order to be sure the liquid is where it was previously marked and recorded, verifying the fan is still running, being aware of loud or unusual noises, and make sure to retest your radon levels at least every two years

- Check the U-Tube Manometer: It is important to monitor the levels of liquid in that the U-tube gauge is uneven, meaning one side is higher than the other, which indicates the replacement fan is creating a type of vacuum pressure.
- Put an ear to the Replacement Fan: The new fan will conduct a low, humming sound consistently. If a high-pitching noise develops or squealing along with heavy vibration, signs are pointing to bearings failing, which would suggest its time for replacement
